1 Peter 1 says,
There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold~and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold., So if you faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it wil bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
We buried my father-in-law yesterday and as many of you have experienced yourself, there is tremendous sorrow in saying goodbye to your parent but we rest in knowing that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ. I am very glad that I returned from Haiti to be here with my family during this time. The Holy Spirit is The Wonderful Comforter and we have also been very touched by all the phone calls, meals, prayers and sympathy from our friends. Thank you so much.
As for what is going on with the school, here are some photos showing the progress of the building.

The building is going better than expected. They are pouring upper columns to prepare the structure for the concrete ceilings that will be poured very soon. I met with the parents of the children that attend school while I was there are felt very encouraged. The families are so grateful and I can see the difference that we are making in individuals as well as entire families. I am certain that love has an agenda that even the gates of hell cannot stop.
I also want to thank those of you who are continuing to give faithfully even in times of economic hardship. The word says that we can test him in the area of tithe and money as it is the least important thing in regards to the kingdom. May God pour out generously on you and increase your territory 30, 60 and even 100 fold.
God bless you,
Gary

Change of plans

It is with sadness that I write this post, Linda's dad is in the hospital right now. He suffered 2 strokes and has very high white blood cell count which is a sign of infection. He has suffered a couple seizures since being admitted and he is not responding very well to efforts made by the doctors. Brianna is coming home from Texas and Linda's brother is coming home from Iraq. It is a very difficult time for us and I will be returning from Haiti on Tues and the missions trip will be postponed until April. ( God willing) I appreciate all of you prayers and the flexibility of the team, here in Haiti and at home in GA. I am torn but I need to be home with my wife to offer support and comfort just as Jesus does for us in our time of need.
God bless you and I will keep you posted.
Your brother in Christ, Gary.

Cover us in prayer

I am leaving at 6 am tomorrow morning to return for 2 weeks. I am very excited to see how the school is coming along and although I speak with the team at the House of Prayer almost daily, it always brings me great joy to see them face to face. I will be taking 3 people from my church along with me and we are all very excited to be a part of what the Lord is doing.
We hope to take an 8 hour hike into a remote village where I have wanted to make contact with a Pastor that is there helping the people. I'm sure I will have a great story to tell you all when I return and lots of pictures to share as well.
Please keep my beautiful wife, Linda, lifted up in prayer while I am away as she carries the full weight of family and home on her shoulders. I could not do what I do without her and she is a tremendous blessing to me and everyone who knows her.

Thank you for your continued support, prayers and encouraging words. May God strengthen you and give you tremendous peace in every situation.
